The World’s Oldest Active Passenger 747s Are Over 40 Years Old
The Boeing 747 fundamentally changed the nature of long-haul air travel. As a family, it has been in service for more than half a century since its first commercial flight from New York to London in 1970. It is sadly becoming an increasingly rare aircraft today, particularly when it comes to older examples.
