The "non-binary" passenger might want to review standards in countries outside the US before they try to explain themselves to the immigration authorities on arrival in destinations less "sensitive" to their problem.

WAAAAA WAAAAAA WAAAAAA, notice me, notice me, I'm special!!!! Where is my check? Next step in this farce is lawsuits against airlines and workers (and maybe even passengers) that do not use the appropriate "whatever" when addressing these (people(?)). This is a set-up, and United is taking the bait.
How stupid that term has taken things to a new low so doesn't matter what equipment one is born with or has modified its all about becoming an IT. This new wave of crap is terrible and will not work out way down the line.
