I'll bet it will cost more than the $100 Raspberry Pi system that the GA folks have been using for the last year...just say'n :)
The tool mentioned in the article is much more than just receiving ADS-B messages, so yes it is more expensive.

The mentioned article mentioned that they were going to add ADS-B in. The item I referenced is Stratux ( based on the $35 raspberry pi computer) . You can google it. It is an "in" only solution. It provides weather , traffic, notams, etc to the popular flight apps , Wing x, ForeFlight, and others. I installed the NavWorx for my in and out solution. I used the Stratux for months before installing the NavWorx. The 2020 mandate is only for "out", "in" is optional.
