Do not be surprised to see a partnership with Northern Ireland, the UK and Canada for the movement of the US manufacturing of C-series parts to Northern Ireland and Canada. This will serve the political purposes of the those countries and further paint Boeing as being responsible.

I also believe these three nations will do everything under every trade war America has needlessly started by changing the rules to suit them. Seems to me These three victims of 220% duties should pass laws preventing national carrier's from buying Boeing. That'll get those meeley mouth wankers talking about eliminating the 220% duty. I have a hunch Boeing and Embraer torpedoed Bombardier with their sleazy legal stunts.

Boeings handprints are all over Embraer's complaint to the WTO. And, as of tonight the duty is 300%

Should we ask the World Court at the Hague to investigate this scam?

Thanks Matt, what is the best evidence?

What was Putin telling Trump. Russia has always tried to separate America from her true allies. Is it possible the Satanic whisperers cooked up the scheme to trash the Canadian Aerospace Industry. Who gains, Russia no Canadian Aviation Sector. Canada mad as hell at the US...seems that rooting tooting Putin pulled the wool over Donalds eyes. Yes Mr. Kelly, the President is a MORON.

But he's theirs. We have Justin.

Air Canada is a pubco and can buy whatever planes they want. I heard an interesting idea from a journalist though. Increase the charge for over Canada flights from all U.S. carriers by 300%. This would have a huge effect. The U.S. would do the same and have a negligible effect for Canadian flights over the U.S.

Sorry Jeff, Federal Transportation Regulations have the power to block sales. A government will always trump a company, pun intended.

But they have to have a valid reason to block a corporation from buying a non-sanctioned company or country's product. It would be fun to see, but the reality is the Cdn government would never get away with blocking AC from buying Boeing products.

It's a good reason not to buy Russian Aircraft. They reinvented flush riveting last year again.

If you are as crooked as the Americans you can use an excuse SAFETY.
DO YOU RECALL BOEING BATTERYS CATCHING FIRE IN FLIGHT. AIR CANADA HAS THAT 787 MODEL. NOT TOO COMFORTABLE EITHER. YOU CAN LEGISLATE ANYTHING. Look our PM just made marijuana legal. THATS DUMB FOR DEVELOPING MIND'S. DUH

We should advise Bombardier to transfer the complete Lear operation to Manitoba and Ontario. Give the Kansas staff their 2 weeks plus vacation you're fired. It creates jobs in the three countries offended by the insane American trade policies. How are the Call Centre's in Kansas?

The Americans put their money where their heart is. Everyone hates them and no wonder. The wealthiest nation in history. It's also got the worst child poverty record in the history of civilization. It's high time their "friends" abandoned them. With "friends like Amerika who needs "enemies". BAN BOEING AND EMBRAER FROM FLYING AIR CANADA. CHARGE AMERICANS A FLIGHT SECURITY TAX OF $25.00 A HEAD ENTERING CANADA. BECAUSE WHEREVER THEY GO TROUBLE FOLLOWS. THEY WILL GRUMBLE AND SLAP A TIT-FOR-TAT TAX ON CANADIANS. BUT WE GO THERE TO ESCAPE REALITY. THAT'S STUPID. VEGAS IS PROOF THE NAZIS WON THE WAR. IT'S ALL SCHLOCK AND AWFUL.

I hope the peace can be maintained in N. Ireland. It is inflammatory to suggest one company protecting it's market from unfair competition should affect the peace in a third nation.

The UK could take just a small rake from all the dollars holed up in N. Ireland avoiding US taxes, and hire the Bombardier workers to work on the country's infrastructure. A lot of the public spaces have not been touched since Queen Victoria ruled.

Ireland is the only place in the world that still has actual "Tarmac" at their airports.

What are they going to do, PNG all of the American companies headquartered there as a tax haven and send them back to America?

If the tax rates drop (pie in the sky hope) they will re-patriate the money.

NO, MATT, WE FREEZE ALL AMERICAN ASSETS IN CANADA AND NATIONALIZE THE OIL PATCH. CANCEL THAT PIPELINE THE REPUBLICANS WANT. SELL THE OIL TO CHINA.

The real pie in the sky hope is the repatriated funds would go to grow the business rather than stock repurchases.

Indeed. As an example, Apple is actually borrowing money for stock repurchases and dividends rather than pay to repatriate the money.

Why should they. In Ireland an IBC is taxed around 12.5%. In USofA 39.6%. But it's really the shareholders that pay it.

Cozy up to the Commies, eh Randy? There's a good show. They've already swallowed US heavy industries. Yours are next.
