BA's CEO Turns Down Bonus, But CFO Accepts

LONDON (Dow Jones)--British Airways PLC (BAY.LN) Chief Executive Willie Walsh has turned down his bonus for the second consecutive year, although Chief Financial Officer Keith Williams has decided to take home his award despite the airline posting its worst ever pretax loss. Walsh has turned down a GBP334,000 award as deferred shares, the airline confirmed after it released its annual report. It is refreshing to see someone taking the high road in today's lackluster economy. I personally think this article says a LOT about the CFO for BA. Would you want someone that greedy running the financial portion of your business? Willie Walsh shows, by action, exceptional leadership. Thank you for sharing this article.
