Flipped the wrong switch?
Good thing he didn't flip the switch for the ejection seat.
He'd be sliced and diced.... :-)

I'm with Eve. Hahaha I am not a chopper pilot so I mostly claim ignorance but wouldn't autorotation be helpful at a time like this? Or is there a switch that turns that off..?

Very lame story - what type of helicopter?, what type of activity was it engaged in? training, sight seeing, utilities patrol? we need to hold reporters accountable for what they are reporting on!

According to most aviation accident reporters, it's usually a 'small Cessna' private plane that 'stalled' and 'crash-landed'. Truth be told, it's not always a Cessna and many times it's an off-airport landing. Jeez. Those guys give aviation a bad name, don't they?

"Today, a vehicle that operates in the sky, experienced some abnormal activity, and due to this, landed at an un-routine location.".

I think that statement might actually hold the same amount, if not more information then the news reporters article.
