Video: Air China A330 catches fire while passengers boarding the aircraft
An Airbus A330-300 from Air China caught fire at the Beijing International Airport. The fire spread through the aircraft and damaged the A330-300 severely. Significant amounts of smoke were observed from outside during the incident, however, no flames were on-board. The passengers were boarding the flight CA976 for Tokyo, Japan when the fire erupted. The crew immediately evacuated passengers that were boarded. No injuries were reported. (airlinerwatch.com) Ещё...

How many think this fire was a Galley fire. Something tells me from looking at the photos that the cargo hold is untouched. Also the trolly doors were barely touched. I have a feeling this was a oven or coffee pot catching fire and the flight attendants didnt catch it fast enough to put it out with a fire extinguisher. Thats just my guess looking at the photos.
