Air Canada Places Narrow Body Order-737Max
Airbus 319,320,321 to be phased out or transition to "Rouge". (www.cbc.ca) Ещё...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Hopefully the local made "C" series is seriously considered the next round.
I also read that as part of the deal Boeing would buy some of AC's Embraer planes. What does Boeing do with those? What does it say about Embraer planes in general? Are they not as fuel efficient as a 737? Is AC striving for cockpit commonality also? Can't wait to see them though! Merry Christmas everyone!
yes, I definitely think that Boeing has made a huge deal to AC to purchase their aircraft. With less than about 40% of this market, now that Airbus with some 60%, has the Lions share - This has been unfamiliar territory for Boeing and they need to give the aircraft away at just a little above cost. This is too attractive a proposition for AC to pass up. And with Boeing willing? to also buy back Embraer aircraft from Boeing to secure these 737 MAX numbers that Air Canada are buying, just shows how cut-throat this business is. Just need to sacrifice a little passenger comfort, that's all.
Must admit I am surprised, I figure AC was committed to Airbus. I have flown them several times and quite like the 320 series.
