FAA: Air Traffic Control Errors Double

That report on cbn.com was basically worthless. They give a single (undocumented) example of a supposedly "relaxed atmosphere", and that is supposed to represent the entire ATC system? During their breaks, controllers should be able to relax a bit. I don't want some freaked-out controller working my flight, thanks very much. There was a much more complete report in today's USA Today. (http://travel.usatoday.com/flights/story/2011/02/Reported-air-traffic-errors-rise-81-over-2007/44146662/1) Better monitoring of performance and the new no-fault reporting system would explain the apparent increase in incidents. Yes, the equipment needs to be continually improved. But it is an undeniable fact that there were no deaths on US commercial carriers in 2010, and 3 of the last 4 years have been fatality-free.
