DH89A RAPIDE
Exceptional picture! 5*+
Yes, I agree Dave, beautifully graceful aircraft, wonderful light and an interesting background.
Great shot!
I had never seen this plane before, either live or in a photo, so this was a great treat. Thank you for a wonderful photo.
Gorgeous aircraft, great shot, thank you
I last flew in a Rapide in 1955 from the Fleet Air Arm land station H.M.S. Heron. Wonderful aircraft.
I flew in the past several times in this model De Havilland Dragon Rapide. Magnificent!!!
Superb picture. With it's sumptuous polished wood interior this was the height of luxury in it's day!!!
Beautiful and classic bird! 5++
I am fortunate enough to have flown on this very aircraft. It was at Newcastle Airport's 75th anniversary celebrations. Great photograph and a great aircraft lovingly restored and maintained.
Love it! I'm guessing this wouldn't handle to well with out the
top wing, they don't have much surface on the bottom one.

My initial interest in aviation came from reading a book where the D.H. Rapide was the star. Great picture that puts in dramatic pixels what I felt while reading. Thanks!
