Piper Navajo (N59973) - In The Presence of Greatness | New Mexicobr /br /Two iconic aircraft, both legendary for their reliability are presented on the ramp at Albuquerque International Sunport. In the foreground sits the Piper Chieftain, legendary for the work done in the Bush of Alaska. Behind her is one of my favorite airplanes, the McDonnell Douglas DC-10. These airplanes have a storied and well documented service record. Two iconic aircraft, both legendary for their reliability are presented on the ramp at Albuquerque International Sunport. In the foreground sits the Piper Chieftain, legendary for the work done in the Bush of Alaska. Behind her is one of my favorite airplanes, the McDonnell Douglas DC-10. Nice shot, but of the two American wide-body tri-jets, I think the L-1011 is by far the better looking aircraft.
