Boeing 747-400 (N171UA)

KLAX - Sept 1989 down in LAX for the Airline Collectible show that year at the Hacienda Hotel on Sepulveda, my 60-300mm failed me or I'm a crummy photog - parked at the FedEx lot off Douglas Ave at Los Angeles, I saw this 747-400 on final for 25L..and could see it was United! I had not seen any new 747-400s for United and here was my 1st time, I had the video and my 35mm slung around my neck...." video or print, print of video" I kept asking myself as this gleaming new 747 was approaching fast - I decided prints and I'd get the next one on video. Bad part was another UAL new 747-400 never showed up while I was here....! I have a series of this jet landing here but opted for the other UALs in the background for fun. Shown here is the "Spirit of Seattle" CN:24332 LN" 733 - one of the 1st 747-400s for United.
