Back in the days before security got out of hand and fences were low enough to shoot over them, photos at the northern end of the terminal were possible. This was also back in the days when Qantas international flights served Adelaide. Those days are gone now with code-sharing arrangements with Emirates which sees 'Qantas' flights operated by Emirates B777s.
More Five-Star photos and Five-Star memories, Gavin. At BUF, the planes would land and ramp at a gate. After the passengers had deplaned, the airline agents (EXCEPT United's agents) would let us go out on the ramp and walk around the planes and even go aboard, view the cockpits, and sit in the pax cabins until it was time to board passengers for the next flight. Geez, I miss those days, but I'm dang glad I've got the pics and the memories from them.
Gary...you had it pretty darn good back in the day. Unless you knew someone, airside here was a no go unless you could get a quick pic as you walked to or from your flight - might have had a quickie once - smile.
