Embraer ERJ-190 (VH-UZH)

A number of Alliance Airlines’ E190s were based in Adelaide in 2021 to operate flights for Qantas on less crowded routes and some of Alliance’s own services. The story at the time was that they would be re-liveried into Qantaslink livery but as at the time this was written, none had been done.

UZH came into Australia in April 2022 but in Qantaslink livery, never having worn the Alliance livery.

Even though they will, or as in the case of UZH already does, wear Qantaslink livery, to make matters more interesting, all Qantas flights operated with E190s use the Qantas code QF rather than Qlink.

Alliance flights are still Unity coding.

In recent news, Alliance was taken into the Qantas stable making for some interesting times ahead as Alliance has been a long time source for leased aircraft to Virgin Australia. Effectively, until something changes, Qantas could be leasing to Virgin - the two major competing airlines in Australia with co-operative lease agreements - can it last?
