BOEING 777-300 (ZK-OKE)

The red strobes of B773 ZKOKE overpower the night and the camera as she taxies down Taxiway Alpha for Runway 02 at Christchurch Airport. She was returning back up to Auckland after having diverted a few hours earlier down to NZCH from Auckland due to bad weather. She had come over from Brisbane Australia on 6 Jul 2017, and along with 4 other B777s and 2 A330s had all diverted down to us as Auckland had a bad weather bomb passing over the airfield with many lightning strikes at their arrival times. The weather prevented most landings and any refuelling. So, for us at NZCH, we had a wonderful freezing cold evening down at the fence shooting rarities to this neck of the ANZ woods.
