BOEING 727-200 (M-STAR)
Comments
Great shot, crisp blue and white over hazy green. I still feel the 727 was one of the more attractive jetliners.
Nice shot. Updated with winglets and -17 engines. Starling Aviation Ltd.
Very nice composition! Your aircraft stands out over the foggy hills!
I have to totally agree with Tim Segulin regarding the B-727-200 being "one of the more attractive jetliners."
The B727 "Whisperliner" series caught my eyes while in the livery of Eastern Airlines at the old Tampa International Airport circa 1966.
The T-tail, three engine design, had great attributes for the passenger, and hugely stimulated my already insane fascination with aircraft of all types.
They seemed to have the greatest angles of attack of all airliners on take-off departure, especially the -100 models.
Dad used to take us over to the departure ends of TPA and the 727s were always the star until the 747 floated into town via NWA, back and forth to MSP, and over our house in Clearwater on the downwind departure to MSP.
Bravo to the Boeing designers of that day and age for their creative and engineering artistry!

marylou anderson: thank you so much :-)
ROBERT MILLS JR: nice text :-D
What an unbelievably beautiful plane! Once in my life I flew on it. And it probably will never happen again. Glad to know some are still in the air and we can see pictures of 727s.
@Marian: there are lots of them in the air ;-)
Nagyon jó kép, szívesen repülnék is vele.
