Lockheed P-3 Orion (16-3294)

KRDD - super rare at Redding, CA "Bloodhound 303" I just happened to leave for break late about 11:40am today 6/19/2018 and arriving from the south was a PSA .....err I mean US Navy P-3C on a very short right base final for Runway 34 smokin' a la 1967 at San Jose from Orange County. But it was Bloodhound 303 from Pt. Mugu NAS on an Air Test and Evaluation with Squadron 30 deciding to drop in to quiet Redding, CA and thank you. The crew of 5? was walking into the Redding Airport FBO (Redding Jet center) when I pulled up for a few pictures of this P-3C it's been many years since I've seen a P-3C in the air - I could not believe my luck, as I knew I did not have a chip in the camera in the car......but a nice electrical engineer had an extra chip on his desk and I was off to the airport soon after for lunch. Good thing, as they were gone when I left work at 330pm.
