What we have here is an illustration of the fallacy of "Multi-Service, Multi-mission, common airframe" thinking. Let's spend hundreds of millions of dollars shoe-horning compromised requirements into a "stealth" design so we can hang hardpoints out near the wing-tips to multiply the radar profile by two or three from anywhere below the plane of flight.
I still prefer a really fast super agile platform and a wingman loaded to max-gross with AGM-88s.
