Cool picture
Interesting, two versions of what appears to be the same AC, but one with two blades and the other three?
Doug Cook, there are reasons for using 2 or 3 blade props on the Beaver.
2 blades have more pulling power for takeoffs, something you may want if on smaller lakes with a heavy load. There is more prop erosion on the blade tips from the water splashing on TO and landings.
3 blades are smoother, less vibration and quieter with less airframe maintenance, and less worries about blade erosion.

I always like seeing the beavers....great planes
And part of the Beaver story is that solid easy-to-maintain R-985 round motor up front.
