Great shot Robin and a livery I've never seen, but then that'd be one of hundreds :)
Thanks Gavin. Ted was United's attempt at a LCC. I really liked flying them as they had "Last Minute Fares" that were great for a get away spotting trip. IIRC I paid $49 each way PHX - SFO 2 days prior to departure and $5 upgrade charge for Economy+ and assigned seats.

We used to have 'stand-by' fares which were a cheap way to go IF there was a seat. I never used them but they did mean sitting in a lounge waiting, hoping. At least with Ted you had an opportunity to book a cheapie if you wanted a quick getaway.
