Emirates lands in Doha with world’s shortest A380 flight
Thursday, December 1, 2016 — 1 December 2016 – DUBAI, UAE – Emirates today launched the world’s shortest scheduled A380 service, flying a distance of 379 kilometres with a total travel time of 1 hour and 20 minutes from Dubai to Doha, and 1 hour 10 minutes on the return journey. The A380 flight touched down this morning at Hamad International Airport, taxiing in to a water cannon salute and was welcomed by key officials and trade guests at an Emirates reception at the terminal. I agree Joel in also wondering..hopefully its worth it to use the big bird.
Lots of cargo space on the plane for handling UPS and FedEx subcontracting importing economy 2-5 day delivery to Qatar which it doesn't have. I'm sure the UAE has profits in mind.

While it is great that Emirates wants to blow their own horn about the world's shortest A380 flight, the might want to do some research about aircraft.."world’s largest commercial aircraft" is incorrect...world's largest passenger aircraft yes but world’s largest commercial aircraft...the AN225
