This is the problem with the EU - socialists looking for justice, not thinking about how this will affect the big picture and the future of ATC safety. Bet no one self-reports ever again and near misses will not be communicated unless there is a pilot report. Just hope and pray they do not result in an air event.

This is not accidental, there is more than one safety interlock for the gun when on the ground that must be disengaged before it can fire.

I am willing to bet you are an average sized adult Hugh, probably 5'10" and 180lbs? When you are 6'3" and 275lbs - and not obese - trying to use an commercial aircraft lav is a proposition in contortionist yoga. Making the lav any smaller will make it nearly impossible for those of us in the 95th percentile for human height. And it is not an American thing - we grow them bigger over here in North America.

Smaller toilets, smaller seats, smaller aisles, the only thing not getting smaller is the paying public. The average human has increased in overall size by almost 10% in the last 100 years - which is about the same timeframe the statistical measurements being used to determine who big (small) an airline seat, and now toilet, can become. The people making these executive decisions do not fly on the commercial aircraft, they travel around in an opulent business jet with huge first class seating and nearly apartment sized toilets. If they had to always fly commercial and not in first or business class, but in coach, decisions to downsize everything would be a different picture. As ADBEAR pointed out, all of these decisions are pushing into violation territory for all disabled passengers and those of us on the higher side of the human 95th percentile in size.

Berkley think from the SNOWFLAKE center of the universe: I was woke up before GMA was on the air and Starbucks was open by a horribly 'loud' airplane, that almost flew into my apartment, operated by those hated and loathed Police to arrest my cocaine dealer, so now I have to find someone else to get my weekend supply, I think I will sue the Police Department for waking me up...

Unless the seats are wider with more knee room, there is no feeling of space - that is what really matters.

Mary, it should be noted that those of us on FA who use it for the purpose it was meant for, comments to aviation related articles and information. Almost always we will have our names on our posts so we are being responsible with our comments and have nothing to hide. I am just surprised that no one else has chimed in on this post string, but it is most likely for the best. Take care.

Bernie, I believe Mary may be referring to eccsandiego comments, since it is pretty plain that the comments posted were clearly attempting to be political in nature and was not an aviation related comment. We appreciate your candor with your reporting and appreciate the follow up you have provided. Thanks.

Bernie, nothing against your post and it is appreciated that stories like this can be shared with everyone on FA. The problem is we have some participants that want to trash anything that does not align with their political views - like Fox News. Many FA users are not impressed when the political comments start flying and eccsandiego appears to have been heading down that path and with incorrect information. Thanks and keep us informed.
