British Airways Takes a Step Back in Time to Welcome Boeing 747-400 With BOAC Livery
British Airways revealed on Monday a stunning airplane, a Boeing 747-400 outfitted in the livery of the airline’s predecessor, British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC). The jet, which BA showed off at one of its hangars at London Heathrow Airport, will retain the retro livery until it’s retired in 2023. (thepointsguy.com) More...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Its first new livery passenger flight was appropriately to JFK.
I really like the way it looks.

The British Airways BOAC Retro Jet B744 Tail B-BYGC Ship GC first trip was to JFK after coming back from being painted. I'm glad British Airways did right with LHR-JFK being the first route.

The Beatles are going to take this from Miami Beach to go back to the USSR! :)

Interesting that the paint job was completed in Dublin Eire and not in the UK. Not sure if BA outsources all of it's paint jobs to Dublin but I suspect they may catch some flack over this.
