Plane crash in Venezuela
BREAKING NEWS: A plane belonging to the government-run airline Conviasa crashed during a domestic flight in Venezuela with 54 people on board on Monday, a minister said. The turboprop crashed near Puerto Ordaz shortly after takeoff, Transportation Minister Fracisco Garces told reporters. "We have some survivors who are being taken to hospitals," added Civil Protection Director Jose Zamora. The plane was bound for Isla Margarita, a tourist island off the coast. The pilots of the aircraft, having left the island of Margarita, reported technical problems before it crashed.
The plane, flight 2350, took off from Margarita (SVMG), not Puerto Ordaz. It crashed approximately 6 miles from Puerto Ordaz airport (SVPR)
