'Technical failure' grounds Etihad's Abu Dhabi flights
Etihad Airways says all of its flights into its Abu Dhabi hub were diverted this morning due to a "technical failure" at the airport, The Associated Press reports. The fast-growing Middle East carrier says some flights had resumed by late Thursday morning, but warned fliers that "significant delays" were expected to persist into the day. They don't specify the technical failure. But combined with the reports of fog, OT must be there ground ILS or other precision approach equipment.
