There was an emergency landing at Trudeau airport Tuesday afternoon, after a United Airlines flight hit major turbulence over the Atlantic ocean, causing injury to 10 passengers.

Flight 935, which left Heathrow Airport in London, was scheduled to carry on to Honolulu after stopping in Los Angeles, according to the airline's website.

Ambulances were on standby to transport the six of the injured to hospital once the plane landed in Montreal.

United Airlines spokesperson Sarah Massier said the airline would be accommodating all passengers on a different flight.

"We're working to get them out today," Massier said.
