De Havilland Canada Twin Otter (82-0835) - My second post for today is another military aircraft and, like my first post a few minutes ago, this is another "first" FlightAware gallery snap. It surprises me a bit that there has never been a picture of 82-0835 to be posted in FAs gallery before now since the aircraft appears at many public events. This shot of the USAF Academys "Wings of Blue" jump bird was taken during the TTA family airfest as the DHC-6 taxied back to the ramp following the opening ceremonies jump.

Apparently, this is one of three (3) de Havilland UV-18A Twin Otter aircraft in use by the Air Force Academy as found on FA.

According to Joe Baugher's published information, this UV-18A Twin Otter was originally a U.S. Army ordered aircraft, MSN 800, and assigned U.S. Army s/n 82-23835. It was transferred to the U.S. Air Force and the USAF Academy.

Gary, thanks for sharing this very well done aircraft spotting photo with us!!!

That's another nice shot, Gary. And I have a shot of one of them at:

As far as I could tell it was only displaying it's N number.
