SINGAPORE TA-4 Super Skyhawk (N524CF)
One from my archives highlighting marine and naval aviation aviation history at its finest. I snapped this shot of a 1945 Grumman TBM-3E Avenger (N81865/85632) and a 1967 McDonnell Douglas TA-4J Skyhawk (N524CF/T83) during their demonstration at Thunder Over Michigan, Willow Run Airport, on 21 Aug 2016.

"Heinemann's Hot Rod" and "Grumman's Pregnant Beast". What an outstanding photograph Ed.
Outstanding Shot to say the least / well done Ed
Excellent!
What a great pair those two make. Thanks for taking the time to post them.
Nice pic!!
You nailed it. Thanks for posting. Lotta history there.
LOVE IT
Excellent! Both aircraft had empty weights of approx 10,000#'s. The Avenger took off at 18,000#'s when carrying a 2,000# bomb or torpedo. The smaller A-4 took off at a gross weight of over 24,000#'s - ready to fight. Ain't power wonderful?
Perfect shutter speed, great photo
