My favorite Jet fighter , saw many on TDY while in Sidi slimane, Morocco Air Force Base 1957-56. They came in with KC-97's and B-47 Bombers. Wasn't Capt. McConnell killed Flight testing one of those F-100's? They say they were very tough to fly/

Never heard that about F-100's Ronald, very interesting. Always loved the look of the thing. Capt. McConnell was killed testing the 5th production model of the F-86H, the final version of the F-86, on August 25 1954. He's still the only American jet triple ace.
