The F-5 first flew in 1959 and was used by the U.S. Air Force to train foreign pilots starting in 1964. A total of 18 countries flew the F-5 and they were also license built in Canada and Spain.

FYI, the hangar in the background is devoted just for the museum's B-17G and the history of the 390th Bomb Group during WWII. It is really nice and has lots of stuff in addition to the B-17G - which is 44-85828, "I'll Be Around."

If it was painted as 60441, it looks like they have since changed it to 20441.
