Winter ops

Written on 08.06.2014 by Guido Warnecke

It's not classified; he can't tell you because he got it from any number of sites all over the web. In other words, he's not the photographer.

Written on 17.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Nice shot. Wish I'd been there.

Written on 21.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

I actually did recognize it as a P-51 but it still should have been identified when posted as well as just a little detail behind the photo. I agree with a no or low vote with the lack of any commentary.

Darn good images. You did a great job with an ideal background and good time of day for ideal light. Impressive work.

Looks like an A-1 Skyraider to me.

Written on 17.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Getting ready for an IFR flight to Canada.

Written on 30.03.2014 by Guido Warnecke

Good shot.

Written on 21.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

And this plane is a what? It was taken where? Taken when? Airshow, flight test?

Written on 12.05.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Your photos are bad. Nothing has changed.

Written on 13.12.2018 by Guido Warnecke

Yes, it's oversharpened, somewhat uneven edges, but I think the background lends itself to BW. If it were an Army UH-1, it would be perfect with the background.

Written on 29.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Gook shot. I like it in BW.

Written on 29.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Thanks. I've taken many of this plane and yet kept on taking it every time I saw it. The guy that owned it was a hot dog which made for some good angles sometimes.

Written on 28.02.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

This is a Cessna Citation not at Cessna 402 twin engine prop plane.

Written on 28.02.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Great shot. Good use of lines and composition.

Written on 21.02.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Nailed it! Good timing.

Written on 07.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Timing is everything and you got it on this one. Good shot. I like the way the wings line up on a straight line.

Written on 04.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

No problem. I've done it myself, unfortunately. Nice shot too.

Written on 18.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Thanks, I appreciate it. This particular image was taken with a Minolta 7D (believe it or not) in 2007, processed in Photoshop. I started out with the 7D as my first DSLR since I had a full array of lenses, cords, etc, from having bought the 7000 (the first autofocus SLR) when it came out. I now use a Nikon D300, possibly upgrading whenever I find employment.

Ah, the perfect meal.

Written on 20.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Celebrating Spring, no doubt.

Written on 21.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Actually, it's not. The threshold of the runway on the island of St. Martin is within throwing distance from the beach. Aircraft come down extremely low to the crowd and the beach in order to touch down on the runway. Here's a couple of links showing the airport and the beach - http://www.airplane-pictures.net/images/uploaded-images/2011-8/31/154105.jpg http://travel.spotcoolstuff.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/maho-st-maarten-airport-beach-6.jpg

Not good.

Heat haze.

Written on 17.09.2013 by concord977

This is a nice photograph. I really like the metering to make it underexposed. That makes the image.

Written on 02.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Niiiice.

Written on 04.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

It's obviously an airport, but when? Where?

Written on 29.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Wow! I've never seen a rainbow effect in all the years I've been shooting. Good shot.

Written on 23.02.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

It's a Rutan Varieze

This is the actual plane A6-EEK that landed as UAE 434 in the Brisbane http://flightaware.com/photos/view/794880-9accb19b76efac85d183e91622afd433b7262b90/all/sort/date/page/1

Windows in the nose section . . . ?

Written on 18.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Looks a lot like a DC-3 to me.

Written on 18.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Hot ship

Written on 25.06.2019 by Guido Warnecke

Very nice. This looks so peaceful and serene, a good place to take a walk and relax.

Written on 24.02.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

This looks more like a helicopter than a Cessna 402 twin engine airplane.

Written on 28.02.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Wo! Thought this was my squadron's plane at first and was wondering what it was doing at this airport; N816CP at GA153

Written on 18.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Thanks. I've photographed this aircraft a lot.

Written on 23.02.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Nice! Great colors on that plane.

Written on 17.09.2013 by MAKPilot718

Again here my question: what does a photo like this contribute to the flightaware.com photo section?

Written on 15.12.2013 by Guido Warnecke

Whoops! I guess the 'fix' was a mistake too. Well, half right at least.

Written on 20.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Thank you. I turned around when he pulled in, and had only a couple of seconds to get the shot the way I wanted it.

Written on 04.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Sure looks like one to me.

Written on 30.04.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

His and all others' service is appreciated and their sacrifice is not forgotten. It's too bad he didn't make it.

Written on 21.03.2014 by Jimmy Robinson

WTF is this contributing to the plane spotting?
