And as far as the "Why Planes Crash" series, while tailored for ratings and the usual Hollywood hype, they did bring out many good things that have come out of air disasters. Many lessons to be learned -- many changes made over the years -- aviation is still learning.
Seems the crime is also punishable under homeland defense laws voided being tried for the same crime twice purposely jeopardizing a flights.
The Weather Channel series, "Why Planes Crash," covered this accident. Glad to see these people were sentenced. Trouble is, it will not bring back those lives lost that day due to unthinkable actions. Should have gotten much more prison time.
And a very poor job of it as if one reads the accident report it tells the full story as the pilots were also to blame due to the way they handled the AC. But just like all TV hipe for ratings and to scare people most of the series is slanted to make better ratings.
