Air India 787 very nearly landed at a very wrong Melbourne airport
An Air India Dreamliner 787 was at low altitude on Tuesday morning and about to touchdown at the wrong Melbourne Airport, Essendon rather than nearby Melbourne International, when it was warned off by AirServices Australia. (blogs.crikey.com.au) Ещё...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Must be something wrong with the GPS signals. Nobody can find the airport recently. Lol.
Personally, I think too many airports. If they open a new one to handle larger planes, they ought to flatly close the smaller one. That will make some people cry but that is just a personal opinion.
Damn right. They ought to close that stupid AF base got in my way landing at El Paso. Lol
Better Essendon, Moorabbin, or Tullamarine than Melbourne, Florida. Then they would really have some explaining to do.
It's a brand new plane with all the new navigational bells and whistles. Again, somebody wasn't navigating.
