Unique piece of Canadian aviation history unveiled at Alberta Aviation Museum

It was also known as the Widowmaker due in part to the CAF using it roles like low level attack for which it wasn't suited and its habit of pitching up.
A lot of fighters developed in the late 50s and early 60s resemble rockets that someone decided to attach wings to, almost as an afterthought. Extremely fast, but I wouldn't want to have to make any quick forced maneuvers.

I have watched the "STARFIGHTERS" team out of Florida at air shows. They are a cool bunch and the 104's are awesome.
There is no more distinct sound than a 104 turning downwind from the break. That engine was awesome.
They definitely have a unique sound. Like crazed monsters. Lol
