United Airlines ‘Lost’ an Unaccompanied Little Girl, Refused to Help Parents Find Her
In the abridged version of this story, Sutton's friends Annie and Perry Klebahn sent their 10-year-old daughter Phoebe to camp in Grand Rapids, which required her to fly as an unaccompanied minor aboard a United Airlines flight from San Francisco to Chicago. That is some horrifyingly bad customer service, from every United employee involved (if this account is even close to accurate). Maybe their new strategy is managing demand by driving customers away? Can't imagine what it was like for the parents - 45 minutes doesn't sound like much, but it is an eternity when you don't know if your child is safe (been there).
